January 3rd 2024: Welcome to 2024 Costa Mesa at this time of year we always hope for a better year than the year previous but this year could be a tough one. The term recession is being thrown about as well as all the ongoing conflicts around the world but hopefully things get better.
In 2023 the OC Fair recovered from the pandemic with 12 sold out days hopefully this years fair does even better. The city and local government in general still has to deal with the tough issue of homelessness and out of control rents which unfortunately could only get worse with a recession.
Politically the city is divided as much as the country in general, hopefully this year we can try to understand the other side a little more; Although with a presidential election looming that might be tough.
After a Christmas break Costa Mesa Insider.com is back and, will be updated regularly. Also now we have a sister local news website for Newport Beach called Sun News Newport Beach which brings local news to Newport Beach.
Costa Mesa Insider.com is a labor of love for me but hopefully this year with advertising revenue and, or donations i will be able to expand the coverage with new contributors and features.
A New Year always brings new hope of a better future hopefully this year is a surprise and gets better as the year goes on. To everyone a safe and Happy New Year from Costa Mesa Insider.
Thank You,
