Here’s a brief history of Repticon:

Origins and Early Years

Founding: Repticon was founded in 2003 by a group of reptile enthusiasts who wanted to create a dedicated platform for reptile shows. The goal was to provide a space where breeders, hobbyists, and the public could gather to share their passion for reptiles and other exotic animals.

First Shows: The first Repticon event took place in the southeastern United States, quickly establishing itself as a popular destination for reptile enthusiasts in the region. The success of these initial shows demonstrated a significant demand for such events.

Growth and Expansion

Rapid Expansion: Following the success of its early events, Repticon began expanding to other cities and states. By leveraging its successful model, Repticon quickly grew from a regional event into a national series of expos.

Diverse Offerings: Repticon events feature a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, and exotic animals. Attendees can find snakes, lizards, turtles, and even spiders and insects. The expos also offer educational seminars, workshops, and live demonstrations to promote knowledge and responsible care of these animals.

Educational components are a key feature, with experts often presenting on topics such as reptile care, breeding, and conservation.

Vendors include professional breeders, pet stores, and suppliers of reptile-related products like cages, food, and accessories. This growth has solidified Repticon’s status as a premier event series for reptile lovers.
