December 27th 2024: OC Bus is again offering free bus rides on New Years Eve night as a way to get a safe ride to your destination and back. The free rides starts at 6 pm on Tuesday December 31st New Years Eve on all the OC Bus fixed routes.
The free rides continue until 2:30 am on Wednesday January 1st New Years Day. If you ride the OC Bus on New Years Eve during the day the regular fares apply until 6 pm when the fare boxes are covered for the free rides.
If you are looking for a safe way to get around on New Years Eve this might be an option for you especially with surge pricing on Uber and Lyft that night.
